TechCrunch: Yahoo and Google set to announce a partnership
Technology blog TechCrunch has claimed that internet media giant Yahoo is all set to announce a partnership with search engine giant Google.
The two companies are likely to make a joint announcement which could be related to some sort of a deal between them.
The deal could be related to search as rumored in the media. Yahoo could potentially outsource its search marketing to Google.
Report also said that Yahoo could even outsource their searching requirements to Google though it is a very unlikely possibility.
This partnership could be to tackle Microsoft’s interest in the company. Investor Carl Icahn is also pushing Yahoo to take serious steps to boost the stock price.
None of the involved companies have commented on this rumor.
