MySpace revamping to improve image, enhance popularity
News Corp. owned social-networking service MySpace has announced that they are now revamping the site to improve its image and boost popularity.
MySpace is often used as a perfect example of how not to develop a web service. This is despite the fact that it remains the most popular social networking destination online.
The company is planning to improve the user experience in many ways.
The searching capabilities are being totally revamped to make them more user friendly.
Tom Anderson, MySpace’s co-founder and president said in a statement: “We felt like we reached a point where MySpace in its original incarnation had peaked in a way. We were wondering how we can expand our market and appeal to new people. We looked at some of the reasons why someone might not use MySpace.”
