Motorola to cut research lab workforce
US based mobile phone maker Motorola which is struggling to compete in the mobile phone market has revealed that they are now cutting the workers in their research labs.
The company said that they are halting some projects and would move around 180 workers to other divisions of the company.
Motorola is already scheduled to spin off its cell phone business into a separate division.
They are now the world’s third largest phone maker after losing the second spot to South Korean company Samsung. Nokia remains the dominating mobile phone maker in the world.
Motorola still looks to find a hit mobile phone after the massively successful Razr range of devices.
