LinkedIn worth USD 1 billion?
Bain Capital Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Greylock Partners and Bessemer Venture Partners have announced an investment in the social networking service LinkedIn.
They are paying close to around $53 million for a 5 percent stake in the company which is used by professionals and businessmen.
This puts the value of the company at an astounding $1 billion.
Market experts believe that social networks are being valued too high. The best example is Facebook which received an investment of $240 million for 1.6 percent stake.
That deal had put the value of Facebook at an amazing $15 billion.
