Sprint Nextel set to launch WiMax this September
US based telecom giant Sprint Nextel has said that they are all set to launch their WiMax Services in September this year.
This service launch has been delayed several times in the past but they seem to have resolved all the issues with it.
The company said that the services would be initially launched in Baltimore. Chicago and Washington DC would get it before the end of the year.
Sprint CEO Dan Hesse said in a statement: “Consumers still can’t seem to get enough data. WiMax can deliver blazing-fast speeds to all manner of devices, not just cell phones.”
He added that the WiMax technology gives them a good time advantage over competing 4G technologies.
