Sprint would offer Samsung Instinct for USD 129.99

Apple has already announced the 3G edition of the Apple iPhone which would be sold by AT&T for USD 199 and 299 (8GB and 16GB model respectively).

Sprint aims to challenge the iPhone 3G with the Samsung Instinct model which they would offer for USD 129.99.

Of course, both of these phones would be required to purchase along with a contract.

Sources say that to get the Sprint Instinct, customers would be required to sign up for a two-year contract and use a $100 mail-in rebate.

Samsung Instinct is one of the most potent challengers to the iPhone as it comes loaded with a large touch-screen display.

Instinct would support the Sprint’s high-speed CDMA EV-DO Rev A network for mobile Internet access.

It also has a 2mp camera (similar to Apple iPhone 3G) which the user can use for video recording (iPhone does not allow this functionality).

It also has some other features missing from the Apple iPhone like stereo Bluetooth capability and expandable memory.
