Hyundai Avante coming next month to India
South Korean automaker Hyundai is expected to launch their Hyundai Avante model in the Indian market next month.
They had showcased this model at the 2008 Auto Expo in Delhi.
Hyundai would sell this car in both petrol and diesel models.
This would be their replacement for the Elantra model which was a miserable failure in India.
The petrol model is likely to be powered with a 2.0 liter engine. The diesel edition would get a 1.6 liter engine.
Its prime rival in the Indian market would be: Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Chevrolet Optra, and Skoda Octavia.

Can anybody tell me the exact status of Hyundai Avante launch in India. Like South Korea, is it coming in Hybrid version in India also? What is the tentative date & month of its launch. Or Hyundai may postpone it in the planning of introducing its i series & i-30 may take its place. There are rumours of Avante launch since one and half years, but real status is not known. Pl. write your comments.

Thanks dear, Can u help me by telling Is any other sedan coming in near future in Diesel Automatic with airbags & electronic controls on steering wheel in the range of 9-11 Lakh? Right now I have Verna diesel but it has no airbag & no buttons on steering wheel. I heard that Verna Transform may also come soon in India with these features. What’s the idea? Dr. Anand Bhardwaj
