Toshiba set to launch Cell powered Qosmio G50 and Qosmio F40
Japanese tech giant Toshiba is set to launch their latest notebook models Qosmio G50 and Qosmio F40.
These new models would use the SpursEngine which is powered by the Cell technology currently used by Sony Playstation 3 gaming console.
The company said that the notebooks would come loaded with four of the “Synergistic Processing Elements” from the Cell Broadband Engine processor.
The notebooks would have the Intel Core 2 Duo processors for the operating system while these chips would be used for processor-intensive tasks.
