LimitNone challenges Google over their Google Email Uploader tool
Search engine giant Google faces yet another lawsuit from a little company named LimitNone which is claiming that they stole the idea of their application for their Google Email Uploader tool.
The complaint has been filed in the Illinois circuit court. LimitNone claims that Google first promoted their application on their Google Apps service and later on copied the idea and become a competitor.
They are seeking actual damages, attorneys’ fees from the search engine giant in addition to punitive damages.
The company claims that they were in talks with Google over development of a tool named gMove which would help Google users to move e-mail, address books and calendars of corporate customers from Microsoft Outlook to Google Gmail.
LimitNone further claims that they went into a confidentiality deal with Google to share trade secrets of its e-mail migration tool.
