Yahoo: Google is more desirable partner
Yahoo has stated in a letter to its shareholders that Google is a more desirable partner compared to Microsoft and Icahn.
The company defended their recent deal with the search engine giant which would see Google supplying advertising on some search result pages of Yahoo in USA and Canada.
Market sources have been claiming that Yahoo is back in talks with Microsoft. The internet media giant has not specifically denied these claims.
Yahoo Chief Executive Jerry Yang and Chairman Roy Bostock wrote in the letter: “This carefully structured agreement strikes the right strategic balance, enhancing our financial results while advancing our strategic objectives.”
