Google Ad Planner launched

Search engine giant Google has launched yet another tool for their advertisers to pick the right website to run their campaigns on.

The company introduced a new service named Google Ad Planner.

Google stated in a help document that this service can be used to:

Define audiences by demographics and interests.
Search for websites relevant to your audience.
Access aggregated statistics on the number of unique visitors, page views, and other data for millions of websites from over 40 countries.
Create lists of websites where you’d like to advertise and store them in a media plan.
Generate aggregated website statistics for your media plan.

The launch means that Google is now a direct rival to marketing firms like comScore, Nielsen Online, Hitwise and Quantcast.
