YouTube gains popularity in US market
Google owned video sharing service YouTube is more popular than ever.
As per latest reports, YouTube accounted for more than 75% of US traffic on video sharing services.
Hitwise said that YouTube had more than nine times the traffic of the second most popular service MySpaceTV.
MySpaceTV had a market share of 9%.
Google Video came third with 3.73% market share. Yahoo Video had 1.92% while Veoh had 1.13% share.
Hitwise went on to say: “YouTube is synonymous with online video. It just keeps growing.”
Unfortunately, this is not that good of a new for Google which has admitted that they are still struggling to generate revenues from this service.
