Bill Gates last day at Microsoft

Today is the last day Bill Gates would be working at Microsoft. The c0-founder of the company would now focus entirely on philanthropy with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation he established along with his wife.

Gates is leaving the company at a time when it is struggling to compete against Google in the online market.

Microsoft has been working hard on establishing itself as a major player in search engine and online advertising markets.

Gates would however remain the chairman of the Microsoft board of directors and its largest shareholder.
