(RED) organization has announced their plans to launch an online media store.
This store would feature original songs from the member artists.
This service is going to be launched in September this year and would cost USD 5 a month.
Subscribers to the service would get access to an exclusive (RED) song from participating artists.
The content would be from established artists and other non-media stuff.
Half of the money generated from this service would be donated to the (RED) efforts.
Media content would be provided in a DRM free format. Some of the participating artists include U2, Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello, Elton John, Emmylou Harris, and Death Cab for Cutie.
