CBS completes acquisition of CNET Network
CBS has confirmed that they have now completed the acquisition of news media network CNET.
The deal was worth around USD 1.8 billion.
With this CBS has now expanded their CBS Interactive division into five categories.
It now has destinations for technology, entertainment, sports, news, and business.
Neil Ashe, CEO of CNET Networks becomes the new president of the business unit at CBS Interactive.
The network consists of popular online destinations like CNET.com, CNET Reviews, Download.com, TV.com, GameSpot.com, Chow.com, CBS.com, TheInsider.com, Last.fm, CBS Audience Network, CBSSports.com, CBSCollegeSports.com, and NCAA.com.
