AT&T to sell iPhone 3G without a contract!
AT&T had some good news for the prospective customers of the upcoming Apple iPhone 3G.
The company would offer the phone without a contract but for an inflated price tag.
The no-contract versions of the iPhone 3G would sell for $599 (8GB) and $699 (16GB).
Users of this phone would be able to pay on a month to month basis without any obligation.
However, these phones would still be locked to only work on the AT&T network.
The company added that the low price of USD 199 and 299 for contract based phones would be limited to customers who purchase it before July 11, or are activating a new customer line with AT&T, or are eligible for an upgrade at the time of purchase.
Otherwise, the iPhone 3G (with a contract) would be sold for $399 and $499 for the 8GB and 16GB models.
