Toshiba laptops to get Ericsson mobile broadband technology
Ericsson has announced that they are collaborating with PC manufacturer Toshiba to provide mobile broadband technology.
Toshiba’s business laptops would now get integrated support for mobile broadband access using HSPA standard.
The Japanese company aims to launch the first products in the second half of 2008. These would be sold in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Eva Sparr, marketing director at Ericsson’s mobile broadband modules unit spoke about the technology: “The single most important thing is that it becomes easier to use, and you also get better battery time.”
