Symbian Foundation joined by 3 and TIM
Nokia has revealed that as many as nine more companies have decided to join their recently formed Symbian Foundation.
3, America Movil and TIM are two of the high profile new members.
Nokia had announced recently that they would acquire Smartphone software maker Symbian and make it an open source offering.
This would help them become a challenger to the upcoming Android mobile platform from Google.
Aplix, Elektrobit, EMCC Software, Sasken and TietoEnator are some of the other new members of this foundation.
