Mercedes-Benz launches new E-Class variants
German luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz has announced the launch of some new variants of their E-Class sedan.
These new models are the E230 (petrol) and E220 CDI (diesel).
The Mercedes Benz E 220 CDI comes powered with a 2.2-litre, four cylinder diesel motor.
The engine produces 410 Nm of torque at a low 2000 revs and 170PS @ 3700rpm.
The Mercedes Benz E230 replaces the older model E200 Kompressor. It comes powered with a 2.5 liter V6 petrol engine capable of producing 204PS@ 6100 rpm and 245Nm of torque at 5500rpm.
Dr. Wilfried Aulbur, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India spoke about these two new models: “The E-Class has sold more than 10,000 units in India since its introduction in 1995. Now the product becomes even more enticing with introduction of the new Bi-Xenon headlamps in the exterior coupled with a 3-way Memory package and electrically adjustable steering wheel, all of which are now standard with the vehicle.”
