1 million iPhone 3G sold in 3 days
Apple has revealed in a press release that they managed to sell more than 1 million Apple iPhone 3G units in the first three days of launch.
Steve Jobs spoke about this achievement: “IPhone 3G had a stunning opening weekend.”
The launch was however not smooth for the Apple iPhone 3G customers. It took them more than just a few minutes to get their devices activated.
The huge rush meant that the Apple servers were totally overwhelmed.
Things seem to have settled down now and customers generally are very impressed by this second generation device.
Apple had launched the iPhone 3G in 21 countries last week. It is scheduled to go on sale in around 70 nations by the end of the year.
