AMD continues to struggle. CEO resigns.
Hector Ruiz has revealed that he is stepping down as the CEO of microprocessor maker AMD.
He was the second person in that position after he took over the job from company founder Jerry Sanders.
AMD announced that they are now naming Dirk Meyer as their new CEO.
AMD has been struggling in the computer processor market ever since Intel bounced back with their new generation of processor products.
They have failed to come out with competing chips which are better value for money.
Ruiz would continue to serve on the company board. He has now been named the executive chairman of AMD.
