Analysts believe iPhone 3G shortage would last for some weeks
Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster has said in a report that Apple was indeed not prepared for the massive demand for their second generation Apple iPhone 3G device.
The device is currently in shortage in several locations in the US market.
Munster said that they believe that the supplies would take some weeks to become normal.
He said: “I bet we’ll see the problems for another two to four weeks. Early demand has been more than they expected [because] they knocked it out of the park on the first weekend.”
Apple’s new iPhone device comes with 3G and GPS support. It also added the functionality to install third party applications legally though the Apple App Store.
It has been a massive success for the company and is expected to boost their market share.
