China Mobile starts marketing 3G services
China Mobile has now started marketing their upcoming public beta of 3G services.
This leads to speculations that test could begin just after the Olympic Games.
They are inviting interested users to sign up for the 3G services.
China Mobile would be using China’s homegrown 3G technology named TD-SCDMA (Time Division Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access).
The rates advertised in the advertisements are set at 50 Yuan minimum per month. The company would be charging 0.40 Yuan per minute within the user’s home city for data usage.
China Mobile claims that the demand for this new technology is very high and they are not promising a handset for every application that is submitted to them.

Hi, i live in China.I call to the China Mobile where i’m a VIP customer to ask information about the 3G service.I have a Nokia e71 and my wife Nokia N95. So the point is, to can have the 3G service in China you must apply for a new phone number starting with 157…… and also to buy a mobile (attention) just from China Mobile becouse the other phones (3g Phones like Nokia or others) are not working on the 3G Network from China. So if you want the 3g service you must have a new number and a new phone…
So forget about it….
