TechCrunch: Google to acquire Digg for USD 200 million
Popular blog TechCrunch has reported that the search engine giant Google is closing in on signing an acquisition deal with Digg.
The value of the deal could be around USD 200 million.
Of course, no confirmations are out yet from either of the two companies involved in this rumored deal.
Digg users are already debating on what could happen if Google does acquire Digg in the coming days.
Google has made a lot of similar acquisitions in the past. YouTube comes to mind. However, there are some other companies which were acquired by Google but are now languishing. Jaiku anyone!
