Google introduces Walking Directions on Google Maps
Google has test added a new feature to Google Maps service.
This new feature is Walking directions. This is designed to provide the shortest possible walking route from one destination to another.
The service already provides driving directions which take care of the proper roads and road signs and one way roads.
However, this new feature would enable the web user to find the shortest route between two destinations through streets which are designed for pedestrians and not cars.
Google is still collecting data for this service and it is far from being perfect. It’s a start.
