China now has 600 million plus mobile users

China is the world’s largest mobile user market with more than 600 million users.

Mobile telephony continues to increase its popularity over landline services in this market.

The Chinese Ministry of Information Industry said in a report that the country had 601 million mobile users at the end of last month.

For the first six months of the year, China gained 53.5 million new cellphone users.

In comparison, the country lost 9.3 million landline users in this period. China has around 356 million landline users.
