AOL getting rid of Xdrive, AOL Pictures and Bluestring
AOL seems to be slimming down their operations by closing down or selling some of their non popular web services.
An inside source revealed that the company would get rid of services including Xdrive, AOL Pictures and Bluestring.
AIM World and MyMobile would also be discarded as they failed to gain enough popularity to justify the investments and expenses.
The company has surprisingly been working on expanding their web services to boost revenues from online advertising.
They have also been investing heavily in advertising related businesses like Advertising.com, Tacoda, Third Screen Media, Quigo, Lightningcast and AdTech.
Nothing seems to be going well for the company which could soon be available on the market for a potential acquisition bid.
