Toyota would boost next generation Prius manufacturing

Japanese automaker Toyota would boost the manufacturing capacity of their next generation Prius which should be out in the market next year.

The company aims to boost the capacity of their plants to manufacture 480,000 units annually.

This was revealed in a news article in the Nikkan Kogyo.

Currently, most of the production of Prius hybrid car takes place in the company’s Tsutsumi factory in central Japan.

They are also assembling the car in other markets like China to keep the costs low.

Toyota has not commented on this report which further claims that they would shift the production of the next generation model to another factory with more capacity.
