Yahoo: We would compensate customers who bought DRM music
Yahoo recently announced that they would be shutting down the servers which were required to reactivate DRM music purchased from their now dead music store.
This was a huge disappointment for the customers who had bought music from the company. They were required to burn the songs on an Audio CD to avoid getting locked out of their purchased music.
Yahoo has now responded to the complaints by saying that they would compensate the customers.
A company representative said: “You’ll be compensated for whatever you paid for the music. We haven’t said exactly what we will do, but we will take care of our customers.”
They might refund the money paid for these songs or provide DRM free versions which would be free from any restrictions. The decision is to be taken individually.
