Sunday Night Football gets an online streaming version
NBC and the NFL have announced that they are collaborating together to stream the complete “Sunday Night Football” season on the internet in the US market.
They call this online service the Sunday Night Football Extra. It would include the Al Michaels/John Madden audio stream.
Users would also be able to watch multiple video streams and in-game highlights.
The two groups have not disclosed their financial agreement. Though they would be sharing the revenues generated from this online broadcast.
They are hoping that the online streaming would add on to the viewership of the event. Brian Rolapp, VP of media strategy at the NFL said: “We’re trying to do things that are not available by watching broadcast television.”
