Qwest now offering Verizon Wireless services
Qwest Communications International has announced that they are now offering Verizon Wireless services to all their new customers in its residential service area.
The company had said earlier this year that they are going to stop offering Sprint Nextel Corp.’s wireless service.
They are now moving to Verizon’s service as part of their five-year agreement with the company.
This is a major blow for Sprint as Qwest accounted for about 824,000 subscribers to Sprint’s total of 53.8 million at the end of last year.
They are also soon going to start contacting their existing customers to move from Sprint to Verizon services.
