Nokia prepares for Apple iPhone in India with a price cut
Apple iPhone launch in India must be near that’s why Nokia has announced a pretty significant price cut on its mobile phones.
Nokia has now slashed its handset prices by 10 percent in the Indian market.
The only reason that comes to mind is that they are preparing to take on the Apple iPhone which just might arrive in the Indian market later this month.
Nokia is in a strong financial position. They are the largest mobile phone seller in the world and in Indian market.
India is a very crucial market for them and they can very well take on the competition in all the segments of mobile devices.
Sony Ericsson, Motorola, Samsung, and LG are other major players in the market as of now. Let’s see what they have in store for us.
It’s good to see that the mobile companies are now going aggressive with the pricing of their phones.

About

Nokia will be pushed out of biz after iPhone prices are out. iPhone prices expected to be 16K to 18K for 8GB model(I am guessing what will happen to Nokia if iPhone is priced below 10K!!!). While Nokia sells N96 at 36K. While Nokia models may have more features than iPhone, for India all that matters is both are hih end phones. People will know how Nokia is cheting them in high end segment…
As for low end phones, nokia will be ruling for its reliability, durability, servicing… But for the company it is important to sell 5 N96s compared to selling 10,000 1110’s…
