Jerry Yang gets the support of majority of the shareholders
Some good news for Yahoo finally. The shareholders in the company have shown their faith in the current company board.
Yahoo CEO Jerry Yang also found major support as he got 85 percent of votes supporting his leadership at the top.
The company chairman Roy Bostock was re-elected with about 80 percent of the votes.
As per their earlier deal, the company board selected billionaire investor Carl Icahn as a new member of the board.
The company board has now been expanded to 11 members to add two members from the Icahn group.
Yang spoke at the meeting: “We are still in the middle of a massive transformation. The Internet is still the only industry, really, that’s growing in advertising revenue.”
