LG BD300: Netflix and LG to provide streaming services on Blu-Ray players
LG Electronics is collaborating with Netflix to launch a Blu-Ray player that would be able to stream movies directly from Netflix.
The company said that this new player LG BD300 would use a wired broadband connection to showcase streaming movies on the television set.
Depending upon the connectivity, user would be able to see the videos within 30 seconds of starting the process.
The player’s remote could be used to check out the available media on the Netflix store.
Teddy Hwang, president of LG Electronics USA added in a statement: “The BD300 is another LG industry first and provides consumers with an advanced high-def disc player with unparalleled flexibility and networked access for services such as Netflix.”
