Fire Eagle basically is a location-data platform which accepts data from devices like mobile phones or from users themselves.
This data is then made available to third party services as per user’s requirement.
Tom Coates, head of product at Yahoo Brickhouse said in a statement that the aim of this service is to bring location awareness ability to web services.
User gets complete control over the information provided to services of his choice.
