VW Beetle definitely coming to India next year
Volkswagen India has confirmed that they would be launching their iconic model Beetle in the Indian market next year.
Volkswagen India President and Managing Director Joerg Mueller spoke about their plans: “Beetle will come here. After strengthening our dealership network, it will come next year.”
Beetle would be launched in India to boost the Volkswagen brand in India as they aim to become a bigger player in this automotive market.
VW also has plans to launch a small car based on their Polo model in the Indian market.
Mueller added: “The car based on Polo platform will be rolled out from our upcoming plant by the first half of 2010.”
