Apple to replace overheating first generation iPod nano
Apple iPod nano has been reported to be causing fires in Japan. The company has put the blame on faulty batteries powering these units.
The problem apparently lies in units manufactured between September of 2005 and December of 2006.
The company has stated that customers owning one of these iPod nanos can report to the company if their devices are overheating as well.
They would be replacing the faulty units.
Apple further clarified that they have not received any information related to injuries caused by these iPods.
