Apple iTunes seems to have been blocked in China
Apple iTunes service seems to be latest to be blocked in China.
Web users in China have reported that they are unable to connect to the service to download songs for usage on their iPods.
Experts believe that this could be connected to the recent release of The Art of Peace Foundation’s new album “Songs for Tibet” on the iTunes.
This album contains songs about the rights of ethnic Tibetans in China.
Apple has acknowledged this problem though they have not given out any reasons for this lack of connectivity.
Liu Bin, associate director of the Beijing consulting firm BDA spoke about this block: “The possibility of a block is high, and I’d say it should be due to a content issue.”
