FCC gives Comcast 30 days to explain their position on internet policies

Federal Communications Commission has now given the US based internet service provider Comcast 30 days to disclose how it has been managing Internet traffic.

Comcast would also be required to reveal information on how its plans for switching to a nondiscriminatory method of traffic management.

Comcast has been found guilty of interfering with the internet usage of their customers which has been deemed illegal.

The company avoided a fine and was told that they would have to stop following their current practices.

Comcast is said to be considering plans to throttle the internet for heavy users for a small period in case of network congestion so that the services are at optimum levels for all their customers at any given time.
