Verizon Communications closing in on a deal with Google
Wall Street Journal has reported that US based telecom giant Verizon is in advance talks with Google for a partnership that is going to work on several fronts.
Google is then likely to become the default search engine on Verizon devices sold in the US market and the two companies would share the revenues from search advertising.
The final talks are said to be going on and a deal could be announced in the coming days.
Google has been trying to become a major force in the mobile market. They are working on their own mobile platform named Android. The first of the several mobile devices to feature this technology is expected to be launched sometime later this year.
