Sony Ericsson R300 Radio mobile phone launched in India

Sony Ericsson has launched a new mobile phone in the India market. This made in India phone is the R300 Radio which is targeted at entry level customers.

The company said that the mobile phone is inspired by radio and features volume boosters for clarity of sound in noisy environment.

It supports FM and AM radio and is available in two colors: Antique Copper and Steel Black.

It is being sold in the market now at a retail price of Rs. 4,395.

Sudhin Mathur, General Manager, Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, India spoke about this model: “We are witnessing unprecedented growth in smaller towns and cities and plan to increase our geographic presence in such places with launch of the Radio phone R300. The growing popularity of the radio in the tier two and tier three cities has created a tremendous opportunity for penetrating such markets and we are confident that our new offering will be well received by our consumers.”
