Apple countersued by Psystar
Apple had recently filed a lawsuit against Psystar which sells an Apple Mac clone in the market.
Apple prohibits any PC manufacturer from selling computers which can run Mac OS X out of the box.
Now Psystar has countersued Apple charging the company with restraint of trade, unfair competition, and other violations of antitrust law.
They are asking the courts to nullify the Appleās EULA and are also demanding unspecified compensatory and punitive damages.
Lawyer Colby Springer added in a statement: “The present litigation is more complex than the misinformed and mischaracterized allegations of copyright infringement. The litigation involves the anticompetitive nature of the Apple EULA and similar anticompetitive tactics related to the misuse of Apple’s copyrights.”
