Google to go ahead with Yahoo deal in October
Search engine giant Google has announced that they would go ahead with their deal with Yahoo by October this year.
The collaboration between the two internet giants is facing a U.S. Justice Department probe.
Google Chief Executive Eric Schmidt said in a statement on their plans: “We are going to move forward. We are in the process of talking to the government. They’ve not indicated one way or the other how they’re dealing with us.”
The deal between the two companies would see Yahoo running Google powered advertising on some of the search pages in USA and Canada.
The two companies would then share the revenues generated from these ads.
