Reports: Apple could bring tethering support to iPhone
Online sources say that Steve Jobs has mentioned in an email to a customer that they want to bring tethering option to the iPhone in the future.
The mail said that the company is working with service provider AT&T on a plan to allow this functionality.
Tethering would enable an iPhone user to use the phone as a modem to connect to internet from a computer.
Incidentally, Apple had recently removed an application named NetShare from the Apple App Store which provided similar functionality.
The email message to the customer specifically said: “We agree, and are discussing it with ATT.” And it came from none other than Steve Jobs!
