Hyundai working on an 800cc model for Indian market
Maruti has their Maruti 800 model on sale in the Indian market for more than 20 years now.
Daewoo Matiz was another model in the similar segment. It was discontinued and the new Chevrolet Spark comes with a 1000cc engine.
Now, Hyundai is working on an 800cc car for the Indian market which would take a couple of years to arrive in the showrooms.
The company aims to sell it in both India and other markets.
It is being researched and developed by Indian and Korean engineer teams at Hyderabad and Namyang.
Hyundai India is also scheduled to launch their i20 model later this year.
