Apple faces another lawsuit over iPhone 3G performance

Apple is now facing a second lawsuit related to the lack of performance from their recently launched Apple iPhone 3G mobile device.

Apple and AT&T have been sued by an iPhone 3G customer William Gillis who claims that the two companies have over sold the device in the market leading to poor network performance.

He further claims that the speeds as promised by the two companies are not being achieved by customers on the AT&T 3G network.

As a result, a lot of customers are being downgraded to EDGE networks even where 3G is available.

Apple has been working on fixing the 3G problems on their iPhone second generation model since sometime. They had promised to release the fix in September.

Gillis is asking for a class action status for his lawsuit.
