Dell Inspiron Mini 9 notebook launched

Dell has finally entered into the mini notebook segment with their latest model: Dell Inspiron Mini 9.

Dell Inspiron Mini 9 comes loaded with a 1.6-GHz Intel Atom CPU along with 1GB of RAM, and a solid-state drive.

This makes it an excellent second machine at home or a good cheap laptop computer for kids.

Dell is offering this notebook in several configurations. Users can order it with Windows XP or Ubuntu Linux. They can also pick from 4GB, 8GB and 16GB storage options. It measures 1.07 by 9.13 by 6.77 inches.

The notebook sadly lacks a slot for external memory which could have further extended the storage capacity of this notebook model.

Dell has an excellent deal in offer for their customers in the US market. Dell blog said:

If you can wait until 6 a.m. Central tomorrow, Sept. 5, you’ll be able to get a Mini for only $99 with the purchase of a Studio 15, XPS M1530 or XPS M1330 laptop through 6 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9 (U.S. only).

So, basically the machine can cost you as little as US 99 if you are looking to buy a new regular notebook at this moment!
