Sony recalling 440,000 Sony Vaio laptops
Japanese personal computer maker Sony has announced that they are now recalling as many as 440,000 Vaio laptop computers worldwide.
These laptops are being recalled due to wiring faults that could cause overheating.
The notebook models being recalled include 19 Vaio models in the TZ series manufactured between May 2007 and July 2008.
The company admitted that they have received some complaints of user getting burnt due to this overheating problem in the laptops.
Incidentally, Sony was the manufacturer of the defective notebook batteries which resulted in a major recall of notebooks from companies including Dell, Hitachi, Apple, Lenovo and Toshiba.
