Maruti Suzuki A-Star coming next month
Maruti Suzuki might be facing problems meeting the demand of Suzuki Swift and DZiRE but that is not stopping them from launching a brand new model in the Indian market.
The company would be launching their brand new compact car A-Star next month.
The timing is perfect as the festival season in India is just starting and this is the period when the sales start to pick up.
Maruti has already said that A-Star would come powered with their K-Series engine which is fuel efficient and less polluting.
The car would comply with the Euro 5 emission norms.
Suzuki A-Star would be launched in India before it is exported to European countries.
Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) chairman RC Bhargava spoke about their plans: “We are at an advantageous position because we have an expertise in designing small cars. With demand for small cars going up, we will quickly scale up our R&D capabilities to design cars that are best suited for the Indian market”.
