Tata Indica Hybrid could soon be available in India
Tata Motors has already confirmed that they would launch the electric version of their Indica hatchback in Norway next year.
This model is likely to find its way into the Indian market in the coming years.
The company has now hinted that they could bring a hybrid edition of Indica before that as this model would not require any special infrastructure in the country.
Tata representative Dr Clive Hickman spoke about launching electric vehicles in Indian market: “I don’t think the present companies launching electric cars have an understanding of the market dynamics. We will price the car, which will be affordable for the mass market.”
As of now, Reva is the only company to be selling pure electric cars in the Indian market.
